Deck Builder 3.2.0 is a big update focused on running a smoother game session: keeping notes and life totals per deck, finding cards fast, and reshaping your decks on the fly. Here is everything that is new.
A guided first run
New to Deck Builder? The first time you open the app, a short onboarding walks you through the basics with a ready-made demo deck you can try right away, so you can start shuffling and drawing without any setup.
Notes and a life counter for every deck
Each deck now has its own Notes screen with a rich-text editor and a built-in life counter. Jot down house rules, track scores, or keep a running life total without leaving the app or reaching for pen and paper.
Search your cards mid-game
You can now search the cards in your hand, discard pile, and in-play area from the list views. When a zone fills up, type a name and jump straight to the card you need instead of scrolling.
Split a deck, or merge two decks
Two new deck-manipulation tools:
- Split a deck’s draw pile into several smaller piles, handy for dealing out hands or setting up encounters.
- Merge another deck into the one you are playing to combine their cards into a single draw pile.
Both live in the deck’s three-dot menu during a simulation, and the structure is restored when you reopen the session.
New card gestures
- Double-tap to flip a card face up or face down.
- A subtle parallax tilt as you move cards, for a more tactile feel.
A polished deal-out animation
Opening the draw pile now plays a deal-out reveal animation, and the same motion plays when you shuffle: small touches that make a digital deck feel more like the real thing.
Play cards straight from the draw pile
A new deck setting lets you play cards directly from the draw pile into the in-play area, skipping the extra step when that fits your game.
Bug fixes
We also fixed a rare crash when restoring a saved session.
