Let AI write your deck's description and rules

Every deck has a description and a rules field, and both tend to sit empty because writing flavor text for yourself feels like homework. Deck Builder 3.11.0 adds a generate button next to both fields: one tap writes a fitting description or rules summary for your deck, and an undo chip appears right away in case you liked your own words better.

Where it lives

Open a deck, go to the Details tab, and tap Edit deck details (the pencil button). In edit mode, the Description and Rules fields each carry a small sparkle button on their right. The button appears when your device supports on-device generation; on devices without it, the fields stay normal text fields.

Generate, read, undo

Tap the sparkle on the field you want filled. The generation runs on your device, the field fills in, and directly underneath appears Undo AI description (or Undo AI rules): one tap and the previous content is restored exactly. The undo offer is honest about the empty case too: if you generated into an empty field, undo still offers to take the generated text back out.

That undo chip is the whole workflow: generate, skim the result, keep it or revert it. Editing the text yourself withdraws the offer, because once you have touched the content it is yours.

Why on-device matters

The generation runs through the on-device prompt API: no prompt, deck name, or card list leaves your phone, and it works offline. There is no account requirement, no cloud round-trip, and no per-generation cost; it is just a local model filling a text field.

What it generates

  • Description: a short flavor blurb that fits your deck’s name and contents, in the style of a board game box back.
  • Rules: a compact rules summary in the voice your deck already uses, handy for print-and-play decks where the rules text ships with the export.

Both fields feed straight into everything that already consumes them: PDF exports, the deck’s details view, and the Deck Store listing if you publish.
